The
CRANKY VOICE"Dear
Cranky-
My boyfriend left me for his barmaid. I
think I could die. All I do is eat Sara Lee day-olds, cry whenever a Bank
One commercial comes on T.V., and watch the St. Valentine's Day Massacre
several times a week. How does one get over a heartbreak?"

Dear
Sorrowful-
Get a friggin' life, you miserable specimen of the female gender. You need a
can of 150% USDA certified Whoop-Ass opened up on you. He's the smart one-
at least he's getting some. And probably free drinks, too. I can see why he
left you in the first place. Get a friggin' life.

RELEASE PARTY
"Take heed, ye mateys! The bleedin' Sillies will
make Detroit proud, never mind the White Stripes! Insanity at
it's finest, poorly rehearsed and well executed. You want
entertainment? Well we give you strippers and jailbait for
appetizers, and famous lawyers
and illegal aliens as guest artists
for your second course. Finally, the fu****g music, you morons, the
music. Music for the dead and sexless, for all the amputees in the
world, for the sick and wretched
critics the world
over."
"The Sillies, formed early 1977, were Detroit's
first admittedly punk rock group. They toured the U.S.
and Canada,
playing with bands such as The Dead Boys, Johnny Thunders'
Heartbreakers, The MC-5,
The Damned, and The Cramps. Death and
institutionalization changed the personnel lineup from time
to time,
but the general direction remained the same: straight down.
Keyboardist Kirsten "Cranky" Rogoff
claims that the Sillies was the
type of band where she "had to sleep with all the members of the
band
so they wouldn't forget who she was..." This year's lineup
will include J-Ho, Cranky, Ben Waugh, Slade Bellum and Fly
Tucker, with
surprise
guests!
